Parking FAQ’s
Where can I park in Central Park?
Follow the directions on the website to access Central Park from Golf Road via Route 7. As you access the park there will be yellow Stockade-athon parking signs to guide you. The largest and best parking area is at the intersection of Golf Road and Fehr Ave. This large non-paved field can accommodate hundreds of vehicles. From this parking area, it is just a short 5 minute walk to the packet pickup pavilion and nearby restrooms.
There is also parking on the north side of the park near the tennis courts.
Parking at the pavilion is prohibited except for race officials and vehicles with deliveries.
Police will tow vehicles that obstruct the race course or provide a safety hazard.
Other FAQ's
What is USATF and do I need to be a USATF member to participate in the Stockade-athon?
USATF is the governing body for the sport of Distance Running and Track and Field. The Stockade-athon has had a successful partnership with USATF for nearly 20 years.
A runner is encouraged to become a member of USATF but membership is not required to participate in the race. However, if an athlete is competing for cash prize awards, or USATF team awards, a USATF membership is required.
USATF membership provides valuable benefits including supplemental health insurance to participants and volunteers who happen to get hurt during the Stockade-athon or other USATF events and require medical attention.
The Stockade-athon awards cash prizes to USATF athletes who place in the Top 5 men and women and the Top 3 Masters men and women. Because the Stockade-athon attracts regional competition, prize money is awarded to any athlete with a valid USATF membership. A USATF member should provide the USATF membership number on their race application.
The Stockade-athon also hosts the USATF Adirondack Association 15K Championship and is a participating event in the USATF Adirondack Association Grand Prix. A USATF Adirondack member is automatically entered into the Association Championship and Grand Prix.
